This privacy policy explains how Heat Rider ("we", "us"), based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, collects and uses your personal data when you visit our store or buy from us. We are the data controller for this information and we handle it in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

• Contact and order details: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address.
• Payment details: handled by Shopify and our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
• Order history: what you bought, returns and refunds.
• Messages: anything you send us by email.
• Device and usage data: your IP address, browser, device type, and how you use our site, collected through cookies.

Why we use it

• To process and deliver your order, handle returns, and provide support (needed to fulfil our contract with you).
• To prevent fraud and keep our store secure (our legitimate interest).
• To meet legal duties, such as keeping tax records (legal obligation).
• To send marketing emails, only if you've agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand how people use our site and improve it, based on your cookie choices.

Who we share it with

We only share your data with companies that help us run the store, such as:

• Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments.
• Our fulfilment partner and shipping carriers, who pack and deliver your order.
• Payment providers such as card processors and PayPal.
• Marketing and analytics tools, only where you've agreed through cookie settings.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our partners, including Shopify and our fulfilment partner, may process your data outside the European Economic Area. When that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep the store working (for example your cart), and, with your permission, for analytics and marketing. You can change your cookie choices at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep order data for as long as needed to deliver your order and handle returns, and for up to 7 years where Dutch tax law requires it. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, to object to or limit how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email us. If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Children

Our store is not intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its update date.
